SPECIAL PACK FOR ENEMA (PROCTOCLYSIS) (6 Bottles of 500 ml. each)

Composition: Isotonic Sulphurous water from the Averroes spring.

Presentation: 500ml PP topaz bottle, with watertight top and guaranteed seal.

How to use:
Proctoclysis is preferably carried out after physiological evacuation, thus allowing the sulphurous water to stay in contact with the intestinal mucosa (via which the dissolved minerals are absorbed) for longer than otherwise.

Place the patient in a supine position with the legs bent at the knees. Warm the water to between 37–40 ºC. Using a 400 ml rectal bulb syringe with rigid cannula, slowly introduce 250 ml of the sulphurous water (half the content of the bottle) into the rectum. The solution should remain in contact with the intestinal mucosa for 20-30 minutes, the patient in a supine position with the legs bent at the knees.

After the procedure, evacuate the intestinal contents if the patient feels the need to eliminate the excess solution. Guideline: 250 ml. of Isotonic Sulphurous Water every 24 hours, for 12 consecutive days.

Observations:
The solution has a “sui generis” odour that is inherent in the preparation. Keep the solution in a horizontal or inverted position.
